Jim McBride
CEO
It is a rare individual who can acutely understand how business and technology inform one another and help clarify or define a strategy while effectively working with each person in an organization from the CEO and CTO to the IT Help Desk. Jim McBride can: he has held all of these roles in his decades long career. His breadth of business and technology experience was earned through growing and leading specialized teams covering multiple industries from Fortune 500 companies to consulting organizations and start ups. Jim is an inventor, holding a patent for a cloud-provider arbitrage system, and has done primary research across fields as diverse as cloud computing, material analysis and mobile technology. He will quickly eliminate the noise, identify the solution and find the path to success.
Tyler Kirby
Chief Data Scientist
Tyler Kirby is highly experienced in developing data science and machine learning solutions from initial concept to production-quality application. He has hard won expertise in a wide array of fields such as computer vision, natural language processing, optimization theory, deep learning and generative artificial intelligence. In addition to his technical background, he is also skilled in cultivating high performance data science teams from scratch: a task he has performed multiple times at firms of all sizes. Tyler holds a Master of Science in Computer Science degree from Washington Univeristy in St. Louis along with other industry credentials and attributed publications. He will push the boundaries of traditional data analysis by unlocking fresh perspectives and practical solutions to drive business growth.

Our History
Jim and Tyler met in 2018 at a large moving co-op. Jim was the CTO and Tyler was a data scientist.
Through implementing leading edge technologies for corporations since the 1990's, Jim immediately recognized the machine learning work Tyler was producing as the next revolution. After working together in two externally funded startups, the duo was ready to bootstrap their next venture together.
Enter Signal Mine.
