Summer Internship 2026

Job Description: Signal Mine is seeking enthusiastic new graduates for our 2026 Summer Data Science Internship program. This opportunity is designed to bridge the gap between academic knowledge and industry needs, with a focus on practical application and deployment of machine learning models. Interns will work closely with our experienced data scientists on real-world projects for our diverse client base in underserved industrial sectors. This role offers hands-on experience in developing and implementing data science solutions, with an emphasis on putting models into production during the internship period. Responsibilities will include assisting in the creation and optimization of machine learning models, participating in the entire data science workflow from data preprocessing to model deployment, and contributing to team discussions on technical approaches and methodologies. Interns will gain valuable insights into the consultancy environment while developing their skills in applying cutting-edge data science techniques to solve complex business problems.

Requirements:

• Strong foundation in mathematics, including calculus, linear algebra, probability, and statistics

• Basic understanding of machine learning concepts, including supervised and unsupervised learning algorithms, model evaluation, and dataset construction

• Familiarity with Python programming, particularly using pandas, numpy, matplotlib, and scikit-learn

• Understanding of basic natural language processing and computer vision concepts

• Basic knowledge of git for source version control
